A group DCH became a General sponsor of the International Forum IFIK-2009, and investment group “Melon” became a General partner

Investment group “Melon” became a general partner of the international investing forum IFIK-2009, which will take place on the 5th and 6th of November in Kharkov. General sponsor is represented by one of the largest business groups in Ukraine – DCH. Its president and beneficiary is Mr. Alexander Yaroslavski, he is also a general investor and coordinator of the preparation of Kharkov to Euro-2012.
The General director of the investment group “Melon”, Mr. Sergey Pirozhnikov, who is also one of the initiators of conducting IFIK, hopes that this event will show to the outer World huge possibilities of Kharkov and will become an accelerator of business activity in the region.
“For the past eight years, since the Ukrainian-Russian forum with the participation of presidents form both countries, such events were not conducted in Kharkov. And at the time of crisis, when majority of companies experience sharp lack of means, such forum is especially on time, because it gives business an opportunity to open new sources of capital formation” – he noted.
Mr. S. Pirozhnikov emphasized that organization of IFIK became possible owing to the fact that the idea of its conduction was supported by DCH group from the very beginning.
“The role of DCH group in forming a new image of Kharkov cannot be overestimated; and we are sure that conduction of IFIK will be one more undertaking that will make an essential contribution into the development of the whole region” – said Mr. S.Pirozhnikov.
As it was noted by the DCH president’s counselor Elena Derevianko, the decision of the Group to support IFIK-2009 is connected with the fact that the event is expected to give a complex report about the preparation of the city to the Europe football championship.
“DCH gives special attention to the formation of investing image of Kharkov region. And correspondingly, participates in conducting all the serious public activities directed to intensify investing activity” – she reported.
The program of IFIK-2009 includes speeches of DCH representatives, in which will be elucidated general results of a complex program of Kharkiv preparation to Euro-2012, being carried out by the Group; and also will be given detailed characteristics of separate projects of the program, directed on development of sports and transport infrastructures of “the first capital”.
The DCH leaders positively estimate the initiative of conducting IFIK, as formation of a new communicative business-area, which will create additional conditions for development of regional international economic relationships.
“The preparation and conducting of Euro-2012 tournament – is a unique chance for establishing closer cooperation of Kharkov business with foreign partners. DCH as investor and operator of International airport “Kharkov” reconstruction puts maximum efforts to make a safe air communication with other countries, and, thus to easy cooperation of local companies with foreign counteragents. That is why we estimate the initiative of conducting IFIK as an important step in development of economic potential of the region” – emphasized E.Derevianko.
IFIK (International Forum “Invest in Kharkiv”) is designed as annual event and is conducted first in 2009. The forum is organized on the initiative of large-scale regional business; its main purpose – is to position Kharkov as a city with high investing potential, and to assist business in capital formation. In IFIK-2009 will take part the representatives of international financial institutes (EBRD, IFC and others), transnational companies (PricewaterhouseCoopers, DLA Piper and others), large-scale Russian business (Sberbank Rossii, Alfa Capital Partners, Beta Capital Management, IG «Aton» and others). Sponsors and partners of the forum are the leading companies in IT-industry: Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco, Datagroup, Freshtel. In the forum program: discussion of the most timely investing projects of the region in first-priority branches of economics and projects connected with Euro-2012. Direct organizer of the forum is consulting company LLC “Invest in Kharkiv”.
