The timeliness of forum holding is caused by the necessity of organization a qualitative field for business communication on the territory of Eastern Ukraine – the region which is traditionally considered one of the most industrially developed among NIS countries. During two days Kharkiv as the first capital of Ukraine and leader of investing attractiveness will become the center of attraction of chief players in the world capital market.

The strategic goal of the International Forum «Invest in Kharkiv» – is to make the city of Kharkiv the constant place for meetings of world investing community representatives on the territory of Eastern Ukraine.

The organisator of the forum is a consulting company LLC «Invest in Kharkiv». The forum is going on under the patronage of the Head of the Kharkiv regional state administration Arsen Avakov, under the patronage of the Head of the Kharkiv regional council Sergey Chernov and  under the patronage of Kharkiv mayor Mikhail Dobkin.

The first-priority task of the International forum «Invest in Kharkiv» in 2009 - is to show investing possibilities of Kharkiv region and to give assistance in mobilization of investments into a real sector of economics, and also into the projects, connected with Euro-2012 in Kharkiv.

Main aspects of forum holding:

• Involving of a group of interested participants in order to establish business contacts.
• Efforts consolidation of business and authority representatives in realizing regional investing projects
• Kharkiv region investing projects presentation
• Acquaintance of foreign investors with the peculiarities of local laws in the sphere of investment

• Minimization of risks, having place when realizing investing projects in Ukraine with the participation of foreign partners.

Based on the decision of the Council of National Security and Defense of Ukraine dated 30.10.2009 "About urgent measures on national security in a pandemic flu outbreak in Ukraine", promulgated by  Decree of President of Ukraine # 887/2009 from 31.10.2009, and Decision of the Cabinet Ministers of Ukraine dated 30.10.2009 # 1152 “About prevention of the spread of influenza type A/N1N1/California/04/09 and acute respiratory diseases among the population” from October 30, 2009 a higher level of risk of influenza type A / N1N1/Kaliforniya/04/09 was introduced on the territory of Ukraine and it is prohibited conduction of all public events.

According to regulations, as at present situation there is direct ban on all events (including competitions, festivals, conferences, concerts, etc.) throughout the territory of Ukraine. These circumstances are inescapable, are extraordinary in nature and do not depend on the will of the Organizer.

In this regard we announce that the International Forum "Invest in Kharkiv", to have to be held on 5-6 November, 2009 in Radmir Hall at the address: Ukraine, Kharkiv, Akademika Pavlova str., 271, is postponed to December 8-9, 2009. Other conditions of the Forum remain unchanged.

International Forum "Invest in Kharkiv" is an official event and is held under the patronage of: Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Arsen Avakov, chairman of the Kharkiv Regional Council Sergey Chernov, Kharkiv mayor Mikhail Dobkin. In accordance with the status of the event we have sent letters to the above authorities to formally agreeing of new dates for the forum.

We want to note that question about booking hotels on the new date was solved positively and venue for Forum conduction - Radmir Hall remains unchanged.
